Hey, thanks so much for reading.
I am 40 today and I run a half marathon in the morning.
I had lunch with three childhood friends, and dinner last night with family. All is well.
Here are the final 40-word pieces of this little challenge. You’re welcome to look at the last e-mail as well.
“Delay”
He screams where words should come and shoves when he wants to hug. He uses “No” to full effect, slapping away offers to help or distract. He was a newborn when the world shut down. We go forward from here.
“Mother Tapers”
Advice to runners in their taper weeks includes: Nap often, keep up with hydration, be sure to sleep better, watch what you eat.
Advice to runners who are mothers in their taper weeks includes: Survive it like every other day.
“In My Forties”
In my forties, I will write more, maybe loosely based on what I built in my thirties. I will spend a lot more time deciding what I can’t spend time doing, and close doors wherever I can. I will focus.
Thanks again.
I’ll be back soon with another project.
Be well.
